BEMUSED police officers who warned a drunk man not to get behind the wheel caught him after stopping for a coffee at the same services.
Officers halted a van in Colchester on Sunday where the passenger was “clearly intoxicated” and had his sober friend drive.
A van was stopped today in @EPColchester passenger was clearly intoxicated and had got sober friend to drive. He was told not drive. 30mins later officers have stopped for a coffee and said suspect pulls into the services now driving ... One arrested for drug drive.

The force warned the man not to get behind the wheel but, half an hour later, spotted him driving into the same services after they stopped for a coffee.
The police stated they arrested a man on suspicion of drug driving in relation to the incident.
