Strongman legend Bill Kazmaier is coming to Colchester.
Bill will be visiting Hamilton’s Gym, Colchester, for a seminar and powerlifting workshop on Sunday, July 3.
Mr Kazmaier rose to fame during the 1970s and 1980s, setting numerous powerlifting and strongman records.
He also won three World’s Strongest Man titles, as well as two International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Championships.
The session will run in two halves, totalling four hours with the title winner.
The day will begin with Kazmaier discussing his early life, his beginnings in the weightlifting world, as well as stories of his wrestling days.
The journey will then discuss his time powerlifting and his time in the Strongman competitions.
After lunch, the second half of the day will be a powerlifting workshop, covering bench press, squatting and deadlifting with time for individual advice for each attendee.
During his time, Kazmaier set several records, including 420kg squat, a 300kg bench press and a 380kg deadlift – which was unbeaten for more than a decade.
There will be time at the end for photos and autographs.
Tickets are available now and can be purchased for either just the morning seminar, or the whole day.
