A RESCUE facility dedicated to rehoming wild birds and small animals in need is calling on the generosity of the community.
Bosses at Wonderful Wings, in Harwich, have issued an appeal to its supporters after admitting having “no money left” in their account for emergency vet care.
The non-profit organisation has now launched a fundraising page with a view of raising £450 and asked for a variety of essential items to be donated.
Currently, everything from dried mealworms, cat litter, hay, wood shavings and hamster food to hand-rearing formula and syringes is needed.
A spokesman for Wonderful Wings said: “Times are hard for everyone at the moment which we completely understand.
“We have no money left in our account to help with emergency vet care and any unexpected extras we may need.
“If anyone is able to donate a small amount to help us get the items we require and if anyone is also interested in fundraising for us please get in contact.
“Thank you as always for our continued support.”
