A horse box driver was caught out by the police while on their mobile phone.
Essex Police’s operation support group team was on the A12 at Colchester when officers spotted the motorist with “both hands on a mobile phone”.

The driver put the phone down when they spotted the officers in the lane next to them, but they were too late to avoid the law.
The motorist was reported and cautioned for the offence, with a police spokesman adding “a ticket will be in the post”.
