POLICE officers dished out advice to car enthusiasts during a well-attended event.
Colchester’s community policing team and Essex Police’s roads police unit attended the Torque event held at the JobServe Community Stadium on Sunday.
More than 250 car enthusiasts were present throughout the day and were engaged with by officers who showed them some of the force’s equipment.
A police spokesman said: “We also ran tests around the tinted windows and noise from exhausts, issuing advice to those who found their modifications to be illegal.

“The topic of insurance was also discussed regarding the requirements of notifying the insurance company of any modifications.
“We also discussed the implications of vehicles being used in an anti-social manner and consequences being section 59 warnings, fixed penalty notices and community protection warnings.”
