A PERSON who fly-tipped a pile of materials has been fined by Colchester Council.
The local authority took action after having been made aware of the rubbish dumped in King Edward Quay at the Hythe.
A statement said: “We have successfully issued a fixed penalty notice to the person responsible for illegally disposing of their garden rubbish in King Edward Quay.
“Fly-tipping is illegal and will be investigated. Please help us keep our beautiful borough, beautiful.”
