A MOTORIST has been fined after driving alone while only holding a provisional licence.
When Tony Gill was caught by the police driving a Vauxhall Astra in St Andrews Avenue, Colchester, officers noticed he also did not have any car insurance.
The 39-year-old admitted the offence, which took place on November 22 of last year, at Basildon Magistrates’ Court.
Gill, of Ansell Close, Hadleigh, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, surcharge and court costs.
His driving record was also endorsed with six points.
