AN immersive outdoor labyrinth bursting with illuminated coloured chambers will see families embark on a spectacular journey to the heart of a performance.
Colchester Castle Park will be transformed by Eye Music Trust into a magical world of vibrancy, music and dance on July 16 and 17 between 11am and 4pm.
The two-day event, entitled Elemental Symphonies in Colourscape, will see guests venture into a glowing portal as they head to the silver dome to watch a live show.
Waiting for them will be a host of musicians, including Michael Ormiston, Ansuman Biswas, Beibei Wang, David Stevens and Lawrence Casserley.
They will soundtrack the experience using everything from Chinese percussion and Tibetan Singing Bowls to water-phones, flowerpots and twigs.
Inspired by metal, air, wood, water and earth, the music will also be brought to life by dancers Lisa Rowley and Tanya Richam-Odoi.
Adam Fox, Colchester Council deputy leader responsible for local economy and transformation, said: “This unique event will fascinate audiences of all ages.
“It’s another great addition to our summer programme, which is jam-packed to attract people from across the borough and the wider region to our vibrant city.”
Tickets cost £3 and can be purchased by visiting colchester-events.co.uk/colourscape.
