WITHAM MP Priti Patel officiated the formal opening of a new beauty salon.
The Home Secretary headed to Tiptree to help launch the Feathers Hair Salon, in Church Road.
For the ribbon-cutting ceremony the high profile and controversial politician was joined by the new business’ partner Kerry Bush and manager Jade Pain.
Ms Patel said: “It was a great pleasure to be able to visit this new business and declare it formally open - it is a very modern, spacious and welcoming salon.
“I am always pleased to see new businesses starting up in my constituency and to see them thriving.
“Meeting Kerry and her colleague Jade was very useful - I enjoyed hearing about their plans for the business and I will be monitoring their progress in the coming years.”
Part of the Feathers Salon Group, which has three other salons in north Essex, the state-of-the-start complex specialises in creating long-lasting and durable hair styles.
Kerry Bush said: “We really enjoyed Priti’s visit and chatting to her about our plans.
“We are grateful that she took time out of her busy schedule to give our new salon a good send off.”
