A WOMAN's body was found in Basildon yesterday morning, Saturday, July 2.
The body was found in Gloucester Park adjacent to Honeypot Lane and Butneys.
Police have cordoned off the area and forensics are at the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to Gloucester Park in Basildon at 9.10am yesterday, Saturday, July 2, following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
“Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Her death is being treated as unexplained and our enquiries are ongoing.”
