A FAMILY event is being held at a leisure world for people to try the climbing wall and more activities for free.

Leisure World in Tiptree is hosting the open day where the red climbing wall and trampolines will be available for use.

There will also be a soft play area, bouncy castles and a ball pool for families to enjoy.

A coach from British Cycling will be setting up a course and running sessions for people of all abilities to join.

There will also be a raffle with prizes including an Aqua Springs voucher, free racket sports voucher and a chalk bag for climbing.

Councillor Adam Fox, deputy leader of Colchester Council, said: “We have fantastic sport and leisure facilities across all our Leisure World Centres and Colchester Sports Park.

“I’m delighted we are opening the doors at our Tiptree centre for people to come and explore what’s available.

“It’s a great opportunity to find out more about what is on offer.

“With activities taking place across the day for all the family we hope to see lots of people there."

The open day is on Saturday, July 16 between 10am and 4pm at the leisure world in Tiptree.
