MAKING a splash is now set to be easier than ever after a much-used leisure centre finally introduced a new online booking system which will eradicate queuing.

Families and swimmers looking to visit Leisure World, in Cowdray Avenue, Colchester, can now pre-book slots for its popular pool area via its website.

The new system means trips can be booked and paid for in advance, while essential items such as goggles, swim nappies and locker padlocks can also be purchased.

In order to utilise the fancy online booking tool, which does not cover the Fitness Pool swim sessions, visitors will simply need to set-up an account on the website.

They will also be able to use the platform to amend any booking up to 48 hours before the date and time of their initial slot.

Adam Fox, Colchester Council deputy leader, said: “The iconic leisure pool at Leisure World Colchester is a popular destination for families wanting a fun day out.

“Since the pandemic, online booking has become a way of life and we are delighted our customers will now book one of our most popular activities in this way.

“This new system means people book in advance, avoid queuing, and make a trip to Leisure World a fun and stress-free day out.”
