POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Colchester.
The victim, a man, 30s, was walking in Clingoe Hill, Colchester, on Thursday, July 7 when he was approached by a man sometime between 10.20pm and 10.35pm.
The man claimed he needed help after losing his mobile and he asked the victim to use the torch on his own mobile to illuminate the area.
They were joined by another two men, one was holding a small knife, before they stole the victim’s property including a mobile, Mac Book Pro and iPad pro.
A spokesman for Essex Police added: "Thankfully the victim was uninjured.
"All three suspects were described as black men, all around 5ft 9ins tall of medium build with scarves covering two of their faces.
"One of the suspects was wearing a dark grey hooded top and spoke with an east London accent. He was carrying a small pocket knife.
"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
"Please quote crime 42/177123/22 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible."
