Thief, 61, who stole sat nav from Colchester property is spared prison
A 61-YEAR-OLD man who stole a sat nav has been handed a suspended prison sentence by magistrates.
Raymond Tauchert entered the property in Pillbox Walk, Colchester, and took the TomTom device on February 26, Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard.
Tauchert, of Princess Drive, Colchester, admitted the offence and was sentenced to eight weeks imprisonment, suspended for a year.
He must pay £378 in compensation and a surcharge, and was ordered to undertake 30 days of a rehabilitation activity.
