Smashed - a Spar window was damaged in Colchester High Street
A MAN who denies smashing a supermarket window in Colchester High Street will face a trial.
Tony Bell, 33, is accused of smashing the pane of glass belonging to the Spar on June 20 and causing £500 worth of damage.
Rima Begum, prosecuting, stated CCTV shows a glass bottle was thrown at the window but issues identifying the person responsible have arisen.
Bell, of Alexandra Road, Colchester, was released on unconditional bail on Tuesday and was ordered to return to Colchester Magistrates’ Court on October 26.
