Colchester Zoo is set to stay open longer on two days this summer to give guests a chance to see more animals.
The attraction, in Maldon Road, is holding two stretched-out summer days where they will be staying open until much later than normal.
The zoo will be open until 7.30pm on the special days, at no extra cost.
Visitors will be able to see exclusive additional encounter feeds around the site in the evenings.
The evening encounter timetable includes orangutans, sea lions and sun bears.
The first stretched out summer day event is on this Saturday with the second on August 20.
A spokesman for the zoo said: "Experience a summer like no other as we host a number of activities for all the family to enjoy!
"Journey around the park and watch as our animals soak up the summer sun. Feeling toasty yourself?
"Duck out of the heat and head into one of our many undercover areas!
"You can even pick yourself up a delicious and cooling treat at one of our many seasonal catering outlets, such as Slush Station!"
The animal encounter timings for this Saturday's event are as follows:
- 5.15pm – Red Panda
- 5.30pm – Smooth-coated Otter
