MYLAND Community Council will be hosting an event to honour those who perished during the bombing of Severalls Hospital during the Second World War.
The service aims to acknowledge the dedication of those who were killed on August 11, 1942, when three 500lb bombs hit Severalls Hospital in north Colchester, resulting in the devastating loss of 39 patients.
The event will be held on 11am on August 11, at the memorial garden of Severalls Hospital.
All are welcome with refreshments afterwards at St Michael's Church Halls, in Mile End Road.
