The works are part of improvements to drainage systems in the road
DIVERSIONS are in place for a Mersea Island road whilst council workers improve the route's drainage systems.
East Road, which is in West Mersea, will be closed both today and tomorrow from 9.30am until 3pm whilst drainage investigations are underway.

The stretch of road, which connects Dawes Lane and Chapman's Lane, will reopen on Thursday once the investigations are complete.
