RESIDENTS from an elderly care home were treated to a trip down memory lane after visiting the Fordham Car Show.
The annual event provided the residents of Loganberry Lodge in Stanway with the perfect chance to reconnect with interests and hobbies.
The care home’s wellbeing lead Sinead Whelan liaised with the car sho organisers to ensure residents had chairs and a gazebo, set up in a prime location which gave them access to the best areas of the show.
Residents sat and enjoyed an afternoon well spent, watching their favourite vehicles from years gone by, whilst reminiscing on fond memories with the lodge team and their families.
Transport to and from the event was provided by FANZ charity network.
Sinead said: “When we were presented with the opportunity to be involved in this year’s Fordham Car Show, we could not turn it down.
“Many of our residents have a vast history with car and motor vehicles for one reason or another so we knew this event would benefit them greatly.
“I want to thank FANZ network, the event organisers and all the staff and the community for making this event happen for our residents.”
