A SIDE-SPLITTING event renowned as a breeding ground for new comedy talent is arriving in Colchester.
Four comedians will be taking to the stage in Cowdray Avenue’s Charter Hall as The Comedy Store lands in the city.
The event will take place from 8pm on September 30 while tickets start from £17.
Among the acts include Edinburgh Fringe veteran Markus Birdman, who has headlined many of the UK’s top comedy clubs and has seen popular demand overseas.
Also taking to the stage is Brummie comedian Karen Bayley, the first ever female winner of The Comedy Store’s king gong.
Described as having a “sassy and confident” stage presence, Karen’s hilarious one-liners are expected to be a real crowd pleaser.
Irish comic John Lynn and Scotland’s Connor Burns will also be donning the microphone in what will prove to be a fun-filled evening of comedy.
