CASTLE Park is set to be flooded with comic book superheroes racing around the historical site as St Helena Hospice’s Comic Hero Run makes its return.
The hospice is encouraging heroes to step forward and race around the park regardless of age or fitness level.
Runners will be able to enjoy an action-packed day, for all of the family to enjoy, as they take part in one of the 1km, 5km or 10km races. The fun event will raise vital funds for the hospice.
Each participant taking part in the run is encouraged to raise £35 in sponsorship.
The funds will aid in the care and support to people facing incurable illness and bereavement across north Essex.
Discounted family rates are available, allowing for ten per cent off registration fees when two adults and two children, or one adult and three children sign up.

The event will take place at Castle Park, Colchester, at 10am on Sunday, October 16.
