A MAN who breached a restraining order imposed after he spat at a woman and threatened her with a broken bottle has been jailed.
Gary Brimble, 37, admitted breaching the order, which was imposed at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on April 9.
He was jailed for two weeks and told he must not contact the victim after admitting a count of common assault, carried out in Colchester on April 3.
But Brimble was back before magistrates on August 26 after he breached the order.
He admitted one count of criminal damage after damaging the victim's phone, valued at £200, and one count of breaching a restraining order.
Brimble, of Portland Road, Birmingham, was sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
The court found the offence was aggravated by his previous record and character, including previous offending against the same victim.
