HOURS of scary, seasonal fun is being promised thanks to a new tricks and treats trail app.
Designed and created by KAT Marketing, with support from Our Colchester BID, the free app creates a spooky trail of 30 locations across Colchester city centre, where adventurers can find QR codes to unlock rewards in the form of a trick or a treat.
Whilst following the trail, users can enjoy treats such as freebies, discounts, entries into competitions and more.
Users can also be subjected to tricks, with light-hearted forfeits and interactive challenges.
Participating locations include the Mercury Theatre, Fenwick, Bill & Bert’s, Emmaus, Dice & a Slice, Meraki Path, Colchester Library, Colchester Natural History Museum, Paperchase and many more.
All are invited to join in with the fun, as the app is free to download, and the trail is free to follow.
The free app is currently available on the Appstore, with the trail running from October 1, to October 31.
Katie Skingle, director of KAT Marketing said: “Halloween is a brilliant time for families to get out together and visit the city centre for some spooky fun.”
