Historic - a model of the Roman Circus
HISTORIC Roman attractions are to be shown off as part of a history expert’s tour.
Colchester High Steward Sir Bob Russell will be leading the heritage walk on Sunday for residents intrigued about the city’s Roman history.
Starting at 10am from Colchester Arts Centre, those onboard will visit the site of Britain’s only known Roman chariot racing stadium and the remains of a fourth century Roman Christian church.
Anyone who wants to take part need simply to turn up on the day with a £5 donation requested to go to the Twinkle Twinkle appeal for a statue of the Taylor sisters.
