COLCHESTER and East Essex Cricket Club’s under-19s are celebrating after winning the T20 Knock Out Cup.
They beat Saffron Walden by eight wickets in a thrilling final at Garon Park, to claim the cup for the third time in four years.
Colchester, made up mostly of 17 and 18-year-olds, were set a target of 193 to win, after Saffron Walden made 192 for three in their 20 overs.
And they reached their objective with three balls to spare and losing only two wickets, with Charlie Allison hitting a magnificent 87.
