A group of Colchester school children have been using their baking skills to benefit the Third World.
Youngsters at Sir Charles Lucas Arts College, in Hawthorn Avenue, Greenstead, Colchester, baked muffins to raise money for a child they sponsor in Amarapura in Burma.
Any extra money left over from Ei Ei's fund is spent on other projects, including buying chickens, llamas and water pipes.
Form tutor Rebecca McAndrew said: "This is a project my tutor group has been working on all year.
"Every week they bake muffins and they raise money to match what is spent on Ei Ei.
"They've now beaten the £250 mark, and they're doing an extra day this week to raise money for Burma after the disaster at the weekend.
"It's such a big project, they've even put their own time into making it work."
