Police are concerned for the safety of a woman missing in Colchester.

Joanne Jackson, 29, was last seen leaving her home on Catherine Hunt Way yesterday at about 10.30am.

Her family have had no contact with her since then and are becoming concerned.

She is described as being white, about 5ft 6ins tall and of medium to heavy build.

Joanne has dark blonde, shoulder-length hair in a centre parting and blue eyes.

She was wearing a black three-quarter length fleece, white trainers and red stud earrings.

Police are appealing for Joanne, or anyone with information about her whereabouts, to call them on 0300 3334444.
