A MAN was taken to hospital following a collision with an HGV.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to Earls Colne High Street at 1.17pm this afternoon.
It came after a collision between an HGV and a mobility scooter.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, with police also on hand.
Traffic in the village was heavy for a few hours with cars brought to a standstill.
It has now been cleared and traffic is moving as normal.
An East of England ambulance spokesman added: “One adult man was conveyed to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
