FORMER New seekers star Eve Graham today told how her life career has gone full circle - from pop stardom to working in a Colchester department store and then back recording albums.
The 65-year-old singer, who now lives in Perthshire close to where she was brought up, said she was happy now that her career had gone full circle.
She moved to Wivenhoe in 1987 with her husband Kevin Finn.
Previously the couple were members of one of the biggest pop acts on the 1970s, The New Seekers, famous for such hits as What Have They Done to My Song Ma? and I'd Like to Teach The World To Sing.
After they left the group 30 years ago to set up as a duo, the couple eventually found work with a Colchester company who were doing the designs for theme parks.
Speaking to the Gazette from where she now lives in Scotland, Eve said: "That's why we moved to Colchester to work with them and we ended up staying there quite a while.
"After living in Wivenhoe for a couple of years, they moved to a farm in East Mersea before relocating to Norfolk eight years ago.
She still keeps active, but this time producing albums celebrating Scottish music.
She said: "We came up here four years ago basically with retirement in mind but I've never been busier. I met up with a record company boss and started recording again.
"I certainly don't feel the dream has ended as I'm about to record my third album."
