Pupils are looking forward to taking the plunge.
Earls Colne Primary School will open its completely rebuilt £30,000 school pool on June 2.
The pool enables children to have two free swimming lessons a week.
Jane Clarke, headteacher, said: "I'm thrilled that we're on course to open it in time for summer.
"Fundraising has been a real community effort."
Pupils, parents and staff raised £17,500 and Halstead Local Committee gave the school a £15,000 grant.
The 40-year-old pool was rotten and needed to be rebuilt from scratch.
Any money left over will be used to fund running costs.
