A NEW barber shop is set to open in Colchester.
Owner Jack Brunning has been barbering for 11 years and has been working in Colchester for the past five.
He is now looking forward to sharing his craft from his own shop.
Studio29 in on Sir Isaacs Walk will open its doors on Saturday, October 1 with a small opening event featuring beer, prosecco and soft drinks.
Colchester mayor Tim Young is set to be in attendance on the day, cutting a ribbon for the shop's official opening.
On his new shop Jack said: “Right now I am feeling very emotional - happy, excited and apprehensive all at once.
“I’m really looking forward to opening as so much hard work has gone into preparation. I am absolutely buzzing, so much effort has gone into making the space.
“I am not here to reinvent the wheel but to do the best I can.
"There are loads of barbers in the city, but I want to give the best service that I can provide for the people of Colchester.”
