Fundraisers slipped and slid their way through a maze of giant inflatable obstacles in the name of charity.
Fourteen teams of ten battled it out in the pouring rain in an It's A Knockout contest, in aid of St Helena Hospice.
The event, at Colchester Rugby Club, in Mill Road, Colchester, was the first fundraiser in the hospice's annual calendar.
Early tallies suggest it raised more than £10,000 for cancer patients and their families.
Contestants included businesses from across north Essex, as well as relatives of those who had been helped by the hospice.
Heather Buxton, community and events fundraiser, said: "It was a good result for a first attempt and it was a great way of having fun and team building, as well as raising money for charity."
