A NEW country park in the Tendring district opens on Saturday - but just for one day.
Work on the 60-acre Martins Farm country park has been completed but there are problems with its funding.
The country park, one of the largest in the Tendring district, will not open permanently until a deal has been reached on who will pay for running costs.
Essex County Council has created the country park with its fine estuary views from part of a former refuse landfill site.
The country park will be open to visitors from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday when there will be displays by community and leisure groups and wildlife supporters.
