According to Gazette research, petrol prices across Colchester are dropping – but at a very slow rate.
As the prices gradually decrease, however, the gap between competitors narrows.

1st – BP (Ipswich Road): 165.9p per litre
50-litre tank: £82.95
2nd – Co-Op (Peartree Road): 164.9p per litre
50-litre tank: £82.45
3rd – Sainsbury’s (Stanway), BP (London Road), Texaco (Mersea Road): 163.9p per litre
50-litre tank: £81.95
6th – Tesco Extra (Highwoods and Hythe): 162.9p per litre
50-litre tank: £81.45
7th – Asda (Turner Road): 162.7p per litre
50-litre tank: £81.35
8th – BP (Mersea Road): 161.9p per litre
50-litre tank: £80.95
