A WOMAN from Colchester who illegally used a disabled badge so she could park her car has been fined nearly £1,000.
Yodit Tesfamichael, of Crown Bays Road, Colchester, admitted to displaying a blue badge when parking her car in London, despite her not having a disability.
The offence was noted in March earlier this year, when Ms Tesfamichael parked her car in Sterne Street, Shepherd’s Bush, west London.
Appearing at Central London Magistrates Court last Wednesday, Ms Tesfamichael, 47, was fined a total of £961 which she must pay before the end of the month.
