A WOMAN who spat at one police officer and assaulted another has been fined hundreds of pounds and been ordered to abstain from alcohol from 80 days.
Lisa Whitworth, of Gravel Terrace, Stanway, admitted to four charges when she appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates Court in August, and was hit with a number of community orders when she again appeared before magistrates last Monday.
On Friday, July 8, Whitworth assaulted a police officer by beating and spat at another police officer.
She also caused damage to two vehicles – one being a police car belonging to Essex Police, and another a Mini Cooper, belonging to a member of the public.

The overall damage to both vehicles amounted to £300.

The 28-year-old must now undergo an alcohol abstinence requirement, which involves going 80 days without consuming any alcohol, before March 2024.
She is also required to undergo 12 sessions of mental health treatment and 19 days’ worth of what is known as a thinking skills programme, where offenders look at the behaviour which is associated with their offending.
