RESIDENTS getting in the Christmas spirit can support charities when purchasing cards in Colchester.

Cards for Good Causes, which brings many charities together to sell Christmas cards, is once again opening a shop at Lion Walk United Reformed Church.

It will open its doors on Saturday until December 17.

Shop manager Anne Tomkinson said: “Buying charity cards means that you not only send greetings but also give to charities which desperately need funds.

“We also stock advent calendars, wrapping paper and ribbons, and small gifts.”
