A RECKLESS motorist who hit speeds of up to 120mph on the A12 has been handed points on his licence.
James MacKinnon was driving a Mercedes on the London-bound A12 at Marks Tey when he was clocked.
A speedometer showed the 32-year-old had travelled between 110 and 120mph for a distance of three-and-a-half miles on January 2.
MacKinnon, of Bridge Row, Rowhedge, admitted the offence and was given six penalty points.
He must also pay £710 in a fine, surcharge and costs.
