Emergency services were called to a scene in Colchester after reports of a resident falling and injuring their head.
The air ambulance landed at the scene in the Chinook region of Highwoods, Colchester, at 2.30pm whilst other ambulances were in attendance.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.04pm today to Highwoods Square in Colchester with reports that a person had suffered a head injury following a fall.
“Two ambulances, an operations manager and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
“The patient was transported by road to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
