FOUR people have been arrested and thousands of pounds in cash seized during raids in the Braintree district.
Police officers from the north 'disruptor' team carried out warrants in Braintree, Great Notley, and Bocking in the early hours of today, Friday, October 14.
Four men aged between 25 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
PC Rob Clarke said: “These were a successful series of warrants as part of an investigation into the sale of drugs in the Braintree area.
“The trade in illegal drugs, no matter what the class, is often linked to violence and causes misery to vulnerable people who are caught up in it, as well as affecting the local community.”
A fifth man was dealt with out of court for possessing a small amount of cannabis.
Cannabis, weapons, and around £30,000 in cash was seized.
