It comes after a successful trip to the Harwich Museum earlier this month, with the group travelling to nearby locations to show off their incredible car collection.

“The Roman Roadsters are a Colchester-based classic car club who meet at the EARM several times a year”, said spokesman John Wade.

“We have more than 1,500 members and have a very diverse range of vehicles, including classic cars, vintage, veteran, modern classics, motorcycles, three-wheelers, tractors and military.”

Visitors enjoyed the array of classic cars on display outside the museum grounds, as the group came to show off their vehicles for about three hours.

A spokesman for the East Anglian Railway Museum said: “The museum was pleased to host the Roman Roadsters at their meet as it provides a location for them to meet to show off their vehicles, not only to other members but visitors to the museum itself.

“There is no additional charge to see the vehicles, and our visitors who visited on the day were treated to this additional display at no extra cost.

“Those who visited enjoyed the display of many cars, and were also able to see our latest exhibit, the driving trailer of former Greater Anglia unit of 317345, outshopped just last week into vintage Network SouthEast colour.”
