TIME has been called on a historic Colchester pub.
The Bugle Horn in Barrack Street is being demolished to make way for seven flats, four houses and two shops.
But before it is razed to the ground, details of the building are being recorded for posterity.
Investigations have found there is evidence of a building on the site dating back to the 1600s.
The explorations are being carried out by historic building experts Dave Stenning and Richard Shackle.
Mr Stenning said evidence suggested the original building was one of the oldest along a ribbon of development between Colchester town and the Hythe.
