ROVING they're just good old hometown boys at heart, Koopa have been signed up for this year's Party in the Park in Colchester.
Straight back from their trip stateside to record their debut album, the three-piece pop punk band could not wait to play a gig in Colchester last night at The Twist.
Now, organisers of this year's Party in the Park concerts, Snake in the Grass Ltd, has announced Koopa have agreed to do their first open air gig in Colchester's Castle Park in July.
Made-up of Joe Murphy and brothers Stu and Oli Cooper, the band has already made history by being the first unsigned band to break the top 20, and with their album due out in September, the Castle Park gig could possibly be the last time the band play Colchester.
