Sainsbury's will re-open its doors to customers next month after it shut in August for refurbishments.
The city centre store in Priory Walk will welcome back shoppers on Friday, November 25, by which time the refurbishments to make the store more efficient will be complete.
Since the store shut, the two other branches of Sainsbury's in Layer Road and Stanway have remained open; and during that same time period, the High Street Marks and Spencer has closed and has moved to Stane Park.
Tesco opened a new High Street store shortly before Priory Walk's Sainsbury's closed on Saturday, August 13.
A spokesman for Sainsbury's had previously said the refurbishments were mainly to upgrade the store's refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems.
