A CITY centre venue has been praised for being the first to complete additional Ask for Angela training.
The Purple Dog has completed the new training.
The scheme allows anyone who feels unsafe, vulnerable or threatened in a nightlife venue to discreetly seek help by approaching venue staff and asking them for ‘Angela’.
Once spoken, the coded phrase will indicate to staff members that the person requires help, and the trained staff will then be able to support and assist them.
