A MILITARY band will perform renditions of festive favourites during an annual show in aid of an organisation supporting servicemen and women.
The Essex Committee for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity will host its always-well-attended Christmas Concert on December 8 at St Botolph’s Church, in Colchester.
The spectacular evening will be soundtracked by the city’s British Army Band, which will play a variety of music as well some spirit-lifting seasonal songs.
The celebratory event will be used to raise money for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, which provides lifetime assistance to soldiers and veterans and their families.
Between 2021 and 2022, for example, the non-profit organisation provided support to more than 65,000 people, spending a whopping £8.4million in order to do so.
The youngest person the charity helped during that time was just seven months old, while the eldest was 103.
A spokesman said: “It is an evening not to be missed. Get into the festive spirit and book your tickets today.”
The show will start at 7.30pm with audience members being permitted access to the venue from 7pm.
Tickets cost £15 plus a £1.80 booking fee and can be purchased by visiting tinyurl.com/2p872pez.
