PLANS for an affordable housing project are to go on display.

The proposals for Thorrington will be open to the public at the village hall on June 25, between 3.30pm and 7pm.

Organised by English Rural Housing Association (ERHA), the event is aimed at giving residents the chance to comment on designs before a planning application is submitted.

In all, the new development would provide eight houses and two flats, six of which would be made available to rent and four sold on a shared-ownership basis.

The homes would be owned and managed by ERHA and funded by the Housing Corporation, while the site would be developed using the rural exceptions policy.
