RESIDENTS got a sneak preview of how a landfill site is being transformed into a country park.
More than 25,000 trees and shrubs have already been planted on the former Martin's Farm Landfill site, in Colchester Road, St Osyth.
It is hoped the 94-acre site will soon be completely transformed into a country park, complete with walkways, picnic tables and an adventure playground.
Restoration work has now been completed on more than half the site, which could include an adventure play area for children as well as activities, such as horse riding and mountain biking.
