COLCHESTER Zoo has had to close a series of exhibits due to fears surround bird flu.
The Maldon Road attraction has stated its Chilean flamingos and crowned cranes are off-show.
Its ostriches have been temporarily moved inside with limited viewing available and the Australian rainbows walkthrough remains fully closed.
A statement reads: “Due to Avian Influenza, we have put in place a range of precautionary measures, including the temporary closure of some of our exhibits.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding whilst we put these measures in place for the safety of our animals.”
