MORE time has been given to respond to Stansted's second runway proposals.
Uttlesford Council has extended the deadline for formal responses by three months, to September 26.
A Stansted airport spokesman said he hoped the delay would not affect the inquiry start date.
Uttlesford received requests for an extension due to the sheer volume of material submitted by BAA in the 38 planning applications relating to the Generation 2 plan.
Important consultees, such as Essex and Hertfordshire county councils, East of England Regional Assembly, the Environment Agency, Essex Wildlife Trust and West Essex Primary Care Trust were among those asking for extra time.
